Patriotic Cupcakes

Celebrate America with red white and blue cupcakes!
Red , white and blue cupcakes with sprinkles!

Supplies Needed:
  • White cupcake papers (415-2525)
  • Tulip red , no taste  (CH-7382)
  • Royal blue food color (CH-7306)
  • Red, white and blue sprinkles (JIM-RWB)
  • Disposable decorator bag (AT-461)
  • Tip # 1M (402-2110)
  • White cake batter (Yellow batter will make the red, orange and the blue, green.)
  • Your favorite buttercream icing recipe.

  1. Make cake batter and separate into 3 bowls.
  2. Color one red and the other blue. Leave one bowl white.
  3. Start with the blue and put a little batter in each cupcake paper. (We suggest doing one color at a time.)
  4. Continue with white, then red.
  5. Bake cupcakes and let cool.
  6. Attach tip 1M to bag and fill with buttercream icing.
  7. Squeeze around outside of cupcake and work your way to center.
  8. Add sprinkles. 
That was pretty easy! The kids can help with stirring the color into the batter and sprinkling on the sprinkles.

Patriotic Rice Krispy Treats

Rice Krispy Treats! Everyone loves them! Whip these up in no time and with very little effort! Celebrate in RED , WHITE & BLUE!!!
Supplies for Patriotic Rice Krispy Treats.

Cutting Rice Krispy Treats Into Squares.

Drizzling With Red, White and Blue Chocolate.

Completed Treats!
Supplies Needed:
  1. Cut rice krispy treats into squares. (Or you can make them and then cut them up)
  2. Melt chocolate in microwave slowly in a plastic bowl.
  3. Bend bowl to pour chocolate into mold painter bottles.
  4. Drizzle chocolate over treats. (Drizzle treats on parchment, then you can save the drizzle and sprinkle it on top of cupcakes or ice cream)
You're done!! How easy was that!

Clean up:
  1. Squeeze any chocolate that is left in bottle into plastic bowl that chocolate was melted in.
  2. Put the squeeze bottle and bowl into freezer for approximately 10 miniutes.
  3. Take out of freezer and squish the bowl and squeeze bottle. All chocolate will break up.
  4. Dump extra chocolate in a bag until the next time you are ready to use it.
  5. Store at room temperature. Do not store in refrigerator or  freezer.

A Mini Cake For The Bride And Her Bridal Party

The season for weddings is really at any time of the year. Here we are going to explain how to do a wedding dress, but keep in mind you can also change colors and a few decorations and have dresses that match the bridal party. 
A beautiful wedding dress. Made from cake and chocolate.
Supplies Needed:

Getting Ready
  1. Grease and flour mini doll pan.
  2. Bake cakes and let cool.
  3. Melt down peach chocolate in microwave or over low heat.
  4. Pour melted chocolate into mold and tap on table to remove the air bubbles and to flatten the back.
  5. Add stick and roll it around in its spot so chocolate covers stick.
  6. Place mold into freezer for approximately 10 minutes.
  7. Roll out some white fondant and cut out small flowers.
  8. Use a tiny bit of water and attach 1 pink candy pearl in center and set aside.
  9. Color some fondant pink, roll out and cut out thin strips approximately 4 to 5 " long and cover with saran wrap.
 Putting It All Together
  1. Push torso lollipop into top part of cake.
  2. With a decorator bag and tip # 16 attached, squeeze out small stars for the top part of the dress.
  3. Around the top part of the dress, squeeze a single line of stars to form the top part of dress.
  4. Add one pink candy pearl to the center of the dress.
  5. With a decorator bag and tip #18 squeeze small rosettes around entire bottom of dress.
  6. Sprinkle white edible glitter on dress to make it sparkle.
  7. Wrap pink fondant strip around waste and attach together with a little icing.
  8. Add fondant flower with a little icing.
  9. Attach white candy pearls around neck with a little melted peach chocolate. (Note: use the same color chocolate you used for the torso when adding pearls for necklace.)
 That's all there is to it! You can make brides maid dresses too in the colors of the wedding.

Frozen Cake Pops

Not frozen as in freezer frozen! "The Movie" How fun to bake and create!

Supplies Needed:
Bake cake pops in pan.
Let cool completely.
Left One
  1. Use a little melted blue chocolate and attach cake ball to stick. Let set.
  2. Dip cake ball into melted blue chocolate and let as much of the chocolate drip off. Place on parchment paper.
  3. Sprinkle white snowflake confetti's on blue chocolate before it hardens.
Middle One
  1. Use a little melted white chocolate to attach cake ball to stick. Let set.
  2. Dip cake ball into white chocolate and let as much of the chocolate drip off. Place on parchment paper.
  3. Sprinkle blue sanding sugar on top before white chocolate hardens.
  4. Place a "Frozen" cake ring on stick.
Right One
  1. Use a little melted white chocolate to attach cake ball to stick. Let set.
  2. Dip cake ball into melted white chocolate and let as much of the chocolate drip off. Place on parchment paper. Let dry.
  3. Drizzle melted white chocolate on cake ball and sprinkle immediately with blue sanding sugar.
  4. Attach sugar snowflake with a little more melted white chocolate.
We find when dipping a standard size cake ball into chocolate, 1 lb. will yield approx 30 balls. (That's is you are not nibbling while you are making them). We call that "Quality Control". Enjoy!

Flip Flop Cookies

Here are just a couple of ideas for decorating the flip flop cookies. Use your imagination to create fun and fabulous flip flops!
Flip flop cookies.

Supplies Needed:
Bake cookies and let cool.
We are going to start with the one on the

 Left One
  1. Make royal icing and color a small amount pink, and more for yellow.
  2. Add extra water into royal icing to make it thinner. (should pour off spoon)
  3. With a pastry brush, apply yellow thinned royal icing.
  4. With a decorator bag, and tip # 4, apply small dots of pink.
  5. Let dry completely.
  6. Color some fondant pink and roll out small tubes, approx. 2" (For straps).
  7. Apply a little water on top (with finger) then sprinkle sanding sugar on strap.
  8. After cookie is dry, apply straps and flower with stiff royal icing.
 Middle One
  1. Make white royal icing thinned down. (should pour off spoon)
  2. Apply to cookie with pastry brush.
  3. Spray green and blue color on to achieve a Tye-dye look.
  4. Let dry.
  5. Color some fondant pink and roll out small tubes, approx. 2" (For straps).
  6. Flatten a little with your finger.
  7. Use the edge of a fork to put lines on the straps.
  8. Apply straps and flower with stiff royal icing.
Right One
  1. Make royal icing and leave a small amount white, and color a little more for yellow.
  2. Add extra water into royal icing to make it thinner. (should pour off spoon).
  3. With a pastry brush, apply yellow thinned royal icing.
  4. With a decorator bag, and tip # 4, apply diagonal lines on top of yellow.
  5. Let dry completely.
  6. Use a decorator bag with tip #46 attached and white stiff icing.
  7. Squeeze icing on top of cookie to make strap. Ridges of the tip should be facing up.
  8. Attach flower with royal icing.
They are very simple to make and would make great favors for a beach party, Weddings, and picnics!

Building the perfect lego party or activity.

Create cupcakes and candy for your Lego party or as an activity!
Cupcakes, lollipops and candies!
We had movie night with my nephews, and before the movie we made Lego men and lollipops. They are 2 1/2 and 5 years old and they had a great time!

Supplies Needed For Chocolates:
  1. Melt chocolate.
  2. Pour into squeeze bottle.
  3. Tap mold on table to remove air bubbles and flatten back.
  4. If it's a lollipop, place sick in space and roll it around in it's spot.
  5. Put into freezer for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from mold.
  7. Eat!
Supplies Needed For Cupcakes:
Lego Block
  1. Bake cupcakes.
  2. For the ones that look like a block, ice cupcakes smooth with solid color icing.
  3. Color a small amount of fondant the same color as the cupcake.
  4. Roll out fondant to  approx. 3/8" deep.
  5. Use tip 2A and cut out circles.
  6. Place 6 on each cupcake.
Cupcake with Chocolate 
  1. Make chocolate pieces.
  2. Bake cupcakes.
  3. With tip 1M apply icing to cupcake.
  4. Place chocolate pieces on top.

  1. Bake cookies.
  2. Make chocolate mustaches (no stick).
  3. Color icing desired color and thin down with a little bit of water.
  4. Frost cookie with thinned down royal icing.
  5. Attach facial features.
